  • Front of thighs — middle outer area

Site Rotation

Why rotation matters: • Prevents lipohypertrophy (fatty lumps under skin) • Reduces injection site irritation • Ensures consistent medication absorption • Allows previous sites to heal Rotate within each area and between areas weekly.

Injection Technique

For best results: • Let pen reach room temperature (15-30 minutes out of fridge) • Clean site with alcohol swab, let dry • Pinch skin if using abdomen (optional for thigh) • Insert needle straight in at 90-degree angle • Hold pen in place for full injection (10 seconds after click) • Don't rub the site after injection

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Don't: • Inject into same exact spot repeatedly • Inject into bruised, scarred, or irritated skin • Inject through clothing • Use pen if solution looks cloudy • Store pen with needle attached • Rush the injection—wait for full dose delivery

Never inject into a vein or muscle. Mounjaro is subcutaneous (under the skin) only.
