Gentle Health prices by the dose you are actually on, names the pharmacies that compound it, and — unusually — compares itself against what competitors really charge rather than against a list price nobody pays. Our research (September 1, 2026) found a well-disclosed operator with one commitment term that needs reading carefully.

Important: These Are Compounded Medications

Gentle Health works exclusively within the traditional compounding pathway and says so:

"We work only with licensed US pharmacies compounding under Section 503A."

Its named partners are Evoluciona and Everwell. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, are not reviewed for safety, effectiveness or manufacturing quality before reaching you, and are not therapeutically equivalent to the branded products. With the tirzepatide shortage resolved in October 2024 and semaglutide in early 2025, lawful 503A compounding now turns on a documented clinical reason for the individual patient — a question worth putting to the prescriber.

Pricing Is Banded by Actual Dose, Not by Marketing Tier

This is the best pricing presentation we have seen in the category, because the bands are expressed in milligrams rather than as "starter" and "premium" labels: Semaglutide injection: $135/month at 0.24–0.48 mg/week, $159/month at >0.48–1.2 mg/week, $199/month at >1.2–2.4 mg/week. Because the bands map onto the actual titration ladder, a patient can locate their likely maintenance dose and read off what it will cost — the single most useful thing a GLP-1 provider can publish, and the thing most of them obscure.

Benchmarking against manufacturer-direct pricing — the real alternative a cash-paying patient has — rather than against a fictional list price is a meaningful mark of good faith. It produces a smaller, truthful advantage instead of an inflated one.

The Commitment Term to Read Twice

"Each shipment covers approximately 9–10 weeks, depending on the medication, with the cost billed monthly; once a requested refill is sent to the pharmacy, you're committed through that coverage period."

This is disclosed clearly, and it is the most important commercial detail on the site. A shipment is not a month — it is roughly a quarter of treatment, billed in monthly instalments, and once the refill has gone to the pharmacy the patient is locked into paying for the whole coverage period. If you stop because of side effects in week three, you continue paying through that block. Gentle Health deserves credit for stating it plainly; patients should still budget for it as a ~10-week commitment rather than a monthly one.

Clinical Structure

"Every prescription is reviewed and written by a doctor licensed in your state. ... In every case a licensed doctor reviews your information and makes the final prescribing decision."

The medical director is described as a board-certified physician in emergency medicine, and a board-certified physician licensed in 37 states and DC is named. Gentle Health is LegitScript-certified, accepts HSA and FSA, and ships overnight refrigerated. Its tirzepatide page discusses the registrational trials with appropriate care, noting the 72-week duration and that participants were titrated to the highest dose tolerated.

What Is Not Published, and the Coverage Limit

Coverage is 37 states and DC, not all 50 — a real constraint that many competitors do not have. No BMI or clinical eligibility threshold is published. No lab requirement before prescribing. No monitoring cadence, no founding year, and no refund policy for the portion of a coverage period a patient does not use.
