Star Wellness MD is built around a named physician with a stated clinical philosophy, and prices its entry visit but not its programmes. Our research (September 2, 2026) found a credible small practice with one significant disclosure gap.

A Named Physician and a Reason for Existing

Board certification and a named medical school are independently verifiable, which most operators in this comparison do not offer. The emergency-medicine-to-prevention rationale is also a coherent clinical position rather than a marketing origin story — it explains why the practice leads with labs and early intervention.

It Speaks to Patients Who Have Been Dismissed

"Maybe it's been building quietly for years — and maybe you've been told your labs are 'normal.' You are not imagining it, and you are not alone."

This is effective and, in our judgement, mostly fair: "normal" reference ranges genuinely do miss clinically meaningful patterns, and patients with real metabolic or hormonal problems are frequently dismissed. But it is also the standard opening of wellness marketing that goes on to sell unvalidated testing, so it should be read as a claim to be tested against what the practice actually does — which, on the evidence available, is reasonable.

The Pricing Gap

The $99 entry visit is priced and honest. The programme itself is not. "Varies by medication and dose" is true of every provider in this category, and several of them still publish a tier table — Gentle Health by milligram band, CLYR Health by injection units. Saying pricing varies is a reason to publish the variation, not a substitute for publishing it. Other services are priced clearly: hormone pellet therapy includes the first pellet with additional pellets at $75 each, and IV infusion series run $170 for four (Energy, Focus, Hair Renewal) or $255 for four (Metabolism, Radiance, Immune, Active Recovery).

The Adjacent Services

IV vitamin infusions and hormone pellet therapy sit alongside the GLP-1 offering. Both have a substantially weaker evidence base than semaglutide or tirzepatide — IV micronutrient therapy in particular has little controlled evidence for the energy, focus and immune benefits its naming implies in patients who are not deficient. This does not reflect on the GLP-1 care, but it does mean the catalogue mixes well-evidenced and poorly-evidenced interventions in one price list.

Compounded Medication

We did not locate an explicit statement that compounded medications are not FDA-approved on the pages we retrieved. Patients should assume the standard caveats apply to any compounded GLP-1 or hormone preparation: not FDA-approved, not reviewed for safety, effectiveness or manufacturing quality, and — with the tirzepatide shortage resolved in October 2024 and semaglutide in early 2025 — lawful only on a documented patient-specific clinical rationale.

What Is Not Published

GLP-1 programme pricing at any dose. Whether medication is compounded or brand-name. Any named pharmacy or 503A/503B status. BMI or clinical eligibility criteria. Lab requirements, titration protocol, monitoring cadence, state coverage, founding year, and refund terms.
