Wegovy (semaglutide 2.4mg) follows a 5-step titration schedule over 16-20 weeks. Here's everything you need to know about Wegovy dosing.

Wegovy Dosing Schedule

Standard 5-step titration:
  • Weeks 1-4: 0.25mg once weekly
  • Weeks 5-8: 0.5mg once weekly
  • Weeks 9-12: 1mg once weekly
  • Weeks 13-16: 1.7mg once weekly
  • Week 17+: 2.4mg once weekly (maintenance dose)

Why Titration Matters

Gradual dose increases: • Minimize GI side effects (nausea, vomiting) • Allow body to adjust • Identify optimal tolerated dose • Improve long-term adherence Skipping titration significantly increases side effect risk.

What If You Miss a Dose?

If you miss your weekly dose: • Within 5 days: Take it as soon as you remember • More than 5 days: Skip that dose, take next on regular schedule • Never double up doses
