What the Practice Is

It offers free skin consultations with master estheticians and states that "one of our board-certified surgeons is on-call around the clock" after a procedure. Round-the-clock board-certified surgeon availability post-operatively is a genuine standard of care, and the practice's detailed work on insurance navigation for gender-affirming surgery suggests a serious clinical operation.

The GLP-1 Menu Is the Concern

Allure's weight-loss offerings include:

Three of those five carry evidence problems we have documented repeatedly across this comparison. Sublingual semaglutide drops. No published trial establishes what dose reaches the bloodstream. It also creates a commercial dynamic worth naming: a practice that both prescribes the medication causing weight loss and sells the surgery addressing its cosmetic aftermath has an interest in both stages. That is not improper, but a patient should be conscious of it when a weight-loss program is recommended by a surgical practice. Patients should also know that GLP-1 medications delay gastric emptying, which has anaesthesia implications — professional anaesthesia guidance has addressed aspiration risk in patients on GLP-1s undergoing procedures. Anyone combining these medications with surgery should ensure both teams know about the other.

What Is Not Published
